Chuwi hi12 lunix install
A few notes before I get started, I am not responisble for your device if it brikes (Its unlikey but you never know). I also have onley tested this on the non dule boot modele of the hi12, so I can onley provide support* on that front. Now onto the guide.
Some things your going to need
A phone or device capeble of proidveding a wired network to the chuwi (I will explain this part soon)
Your chuwi
Basic understanding of lunix
Backup your data (If you want it will be wiped)
Step 1 - Download lunix mint and make a booteble usb
You should read the guide linked here it goes over almost everything you need to know
Step 2 - Install Mint
Almost like windows in a way but when you go to boot press f10 on your keybord then choose your usb your also going to want to plug in your phone and enble wired network shareing as as the time of writeing the default drivers for the network chip in the chuwi are broken and dont work so we need the phone to share internet so we can update the kernal
Step 3 - Install the LIQUORIX kernal
These are pulled from there website here
Ubuntu Prerequisites:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:damentz/liquorix && sudo apt-get update
The Liquorix kernel can be installed by way of meta-packages. This will guarantee that the latest kernel is installed on every upgrade.
64-bit:
sudo apt-get install linux-image-liquorix-amd64 linux-headers-liquorix-amd64
Step 4 - Enjoy
Its relley easy after you have someone troubleshoot stuff and work it out your table should work the onley broken thing is sound with from the lookes of no fix the hedphone jack works* (Not tested) so that's fine.
